Our joint initiative at the GreenSign Future Lab 2026
This year, we are once again packing care bags together - and taking the impact to a new level: 350 care bags for adults and 150 for children are made from recycled hotel soaps and other hygiene products. Production takes place under inclusive conditions so that people with disabilities are actively involved in the value chain. What is often only claimed becomes visible here: The circular economy can be social.
The Care Bags themselves are sewn from fabrics that have already been used - materials that have fulfilled their original purpose and are now being reused in a meaningful way. In this way, something new is created from something existing that is immediately needed.
At the centre of our social impact action are the pre-packed care bags: carefully put together, functional and of high quality. They are then distributed free of charge to people in need in Berlin.
This campaign is not an add-on. It is a clear statement. It shows how ecological responsibility, social impact and practical implementation can be combined - without compromise, without empty words.
The GreenSign Future Lab is consciously setting an example: Sustainability does not end with processes or strategies. It begins where responsibility becomes concrete.

SapoCycle Germany e.V. was launched in December 2023 as the first social franchise in Grasbrunn/Bavaria, part of the international SapoCycle initiative from Switzerland (2014) and France (2018). The concept: collecting used hotel soaps, recycling them at Lebenshilfe WerkStadt Nürnberg by people with disabilities and distributing them free of charge to people in need in Germany.
The model has a threefold impact: ecological through up to 90% CO₂ savings compared to disposal, social through regulated jobs and humanitarian through improved hygiene for those in need. Particularly recognised by GreenSign, Green Key, EarthCheck and myClimate. The mission: "Turning waste into health."

Your used soap - part of a good cycle
Will you join in? In the spirit of sustainability, social responsibility and real impact, SapoCycle Germany e.V. is looking for committed hotels that don't dispose of their used soaps but donate them to the recycling process.
At the Future Lab, we will then pack "Care Bags" together - with recycled SapoCycle soap and other hygiene products for the Berliner Tafel. The campaign goes straight to the heart because it provides concrete help and creates encounters.
